The National Center for Genome Resources (NCGR) in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a non-profit research institute dedicated to improving human health and nutrition.


NCGR has a national reputation for development of custom bioinformatic resources for research communities.

The NCGR Sequencing Center provides CSPro™ massively parallel sequencing services using Illumina® (Solexa) Genome Analyzers.

NCGR also supplies software tools and services for analysis of massively parallel resequencing projects nationwide, featuring the award winning Alpheus® software system.

Our research staff undertake collaborative programs in Infectious Diseases, Inherited Childhood Diseases, Legume Biology, Crop Improvement, Population Genetics and Semantic Web. We also provide educational outreach and internship programs.
